Update on my 57 wagon, got both 1/4 windows in and sealed up! I also popped the rear window out and cleaned up. I have a new seal ready for it and the liftgate is actually in great shape with just a few spots of surface rust. Already hit it with evaporust to convert it. Will prime and paint it and then have the glass guys come out. Now for the next big issue-raising the body to replace the rubber body hockey pucks. Here is what I am thinking: 1: Get a 2x4/4x4 and sit it along the rocker panels. 2: Use a floor jack to lift one side up put two stands under it and move to the other side and repeat. Is this a good way of doing it? Or is there something that I am missing safety/break the car wise? I am going to cross post this on the main page as well. As this is the next project up and then floor replacement and wiring. Mike
Loosen the opposite side mounts if it doesn’t clear enough. You really don’t want it to move or things might not line up. I personally would try one at a time first and never seize the bolts.
I have one bolt left to cut out (front driver side). Other than that, all bolts are either loose or removed. I need to also make up some guide bolts so that she lines back up when I go to drop back down.
