1959 Hello, At the time of 1959 racing season, we were heavily involved in racing the 58 Impala. but, next to our cl*** lanes designation, was the Gas Coupe and Sedan cl***es for B/Gas And C/Gas. There was a 1940 Ford sedan in those lanes, but we just thought it was a guy from So Cal in the lane. Jimmy Nix from OKC broke into the ranks of the So Cal Gas Coupe/Sedan Cl*** racers and challenged them each time at different So Cal race tracks. He did so well, that he got protested and found legal. At the time, his times from the OKC area drag strips would have put him in the top group of the B/Gas and C/Gas cl***es at the local So Cal dragstrips. Jnaki He even campaigned a supercharged SBC FED and set records along the way. Engle Cams from So Cal wasted no time in bringing attention to SBC fanatics for the usage of and an Engle Camshaft in his motor. DEC 1960 A new direction...
