Late start? Yeah, a little bit. But it wasn't me. These people here in town are new at this U-Haul stuff. It took her for-EVER to write it up. That's okay. Didn't get home until midnight, though.

Ooooh the gears are turnin! I'm jealous! I just trued to set the kids up outside and make a little progress on bringing my roadster to the new shop, the 9 month old screamed nonstop...maybe Ill make some progress tomorrow haha

Oliver, I'm the firstborn of 10 children. I took care of babies since I was little. I'll let you in on a little secret. What you need is a bunch of hooks you can hang the kids on while you attend to other things. Hang them up and let 'em scream.

A guy on another board took two of those 4 door sedans and combined parts to make a phantom two door sedan out of them. Lots of cutting and welding, but turned out good.

 

Geez Ricky, that looks great. I'm thinking, with a couple of sawzall blades, a little sheetmetal and a few spot welds, you could have yourself a roadster pickup in an afternoon

I have a very unique and strange relationship with cars and I've never been able to figure out why.

 

Im trying man...the kids come first. It has been hard for me as I am always neck deep in projects and have so much I would like to accomplish....but I live for these kids!

 

BTW, you never mentioned that Popeye was helping you pick up the car. HRP

 

An additional set of fenders came with it. Windshield frame. Bumper. Radiator and grill shell. And a few other small parts.

I removed the parts and debris from inside the car. Vacuumed. Power-washed. Set the grill on there for the hell of it.

Now I can see what I have. Floors rusted out. Won't be a whole lot of the subframe I can use. Only the bottom of the front seat and the back of the rear seat are present. Doors and body panels are solid enough. Frame is in good condition.

It's probably not complete and nice enough that many people would want it for a restoration. But it's actually straight and solid enough for my purposes and it'll provide what I need to help build a roadster with. So I think this car is a perfect candidate to go ahead and cut up for a hot rod.

Won't be long I'll have it all apart so I can start seeing how things might fit together. Or not.
