Yes I am fairly new and also I've been building all my life and yes I innovate and also I see lots of HAMB speedsters midgets street Indy Cars homemade jobs I've seen wannabe Halibrands and and Center Lines just recently and when I saw those on other event threads I thought ok the cutoff time era for rims seemed to be dated around 1983 . So yes I put early '80s wheels here plus classifieds you telling me all those American Racing 5 spokes are made before 1965 . Also Ryan just put out a thread about Inspirational Inovation so if I've been in HAMB for 20 years and come from the Heartland I can bend rules but if I am new on HAMB and from California I get the gavel . Whatever yes I have done show builds by rules I can't stand and being a laid back artistic Californian Beach Cities guy I may be taking up to much room and leaving error to the rules but like I said I'm not the only one and yes many of the wheels were from the 80s . I've noticed that people's wheels match the era that they built their car this is true . I do have a couple Honest Charley's Catalogs from 1965 I'm going to get them put tomorrow after the mornings car show and study it further to understand better and yes it's true many of us on the west have been known to laugh at the wheels and tires the Heartland guys roll around on It's a Car Culture clash for me I never lived in the Midwest yes we got alot of Traditional wheel equipped cars here but where are the rules ?? 16 " ? 17 " Aftermarket ? Aluminum spun 5 spokes ? Halibrands with Mickey Thompson 32 " ? Another thing concerning the future of Traditional Rods is if you really want it to survive you've gotta get kids involved and what a kid into cars hates most is being in a ride with 15" wheels compared to around a 19" . It's true these wheel rules are helping to kill traditional Hot Rods . I'm up in arms for my current build and thank you for recognizing the safety factor I brought up . And what with Mustang 2 setup cars they are the ones getting the wheels ripped off and suspension damage here in California . Solid axles get bent as do spindles . I am building a car with parts from a 32 that had that happen to it and then it hit a tree I got the bent bumper also and use that for door beams for safety . Yes it's a safety issue smooth roads all the time is a lost dream in California . I recommend Ryan's Inspirational *innovation to help save this special culture we share .
    There's two kids driving back from a car show , " Hey where's Gramps ? "
" Oh he hit that pothole back there he be home tomorrow " . Kids don't see any thrill in Grandpa's wheels .
Wheels are fishing lures for humans that is true . In the future the wheel rule is going to have to be modernized a little or is Vintique allowed to break the rules as a HAMB vendor . It's really a broad subject and I will try my best on my next Event Share .
    Thank you Everyone
