    Because of my F-ing tinnitus,,I have to have loud music to mask the ringing.

    Just saw The Beach Boys in Cincinnati last Tuesday, great show. 31 song set and Mike Love sounded great, fun concert.

    Bruce Johnston was there too. Also Mike Loves Son who has a great voice and can smoke a guitar. He covered a couple of songs that Carl sang and did a great job.

    Bruce is the man, that's awesome. It sure would be cool to see Brian bury the hatchet and get all the survivors on stage one more time....

    I agree, I saw the 50th anniversary tour in 2012 with Brian, Al, Mike, Bruce, David Marks and it was great. Since this is their 60th anniversary tour there was hope that they would all regroup but it didn’t happen, Brian would not sign up for it, shame.

    I was also lucky enough to see them a few times on the last tour Dennis Wilson was on. Plus saw Carls last tour with the BB’s. Favorite band and their music just makes you happy to listen to, been to a ton of their shows.

    Picking up plenty of new music directions here - thanks everyone for posting your favorites!
    @MRW1994 - Wow! I'm a fan!
    And for all you Beach Boys fans, have you tuned in Sirius XM Channel 105 - the Beach Boys Channel? I've been digging that one a lot lately.

    Great channel, I wish they would include more Jan and Dean, Ripcords and other California music like they did a few years ago. Brian wrote or co-wrote a ton of the music for the other groups and Bruce Johnston was part of the Ripcords. Wish it would stay on all year too, but at least we get it for the summer every year. Love the short segment interviews with the band members plus the solo stuff from Brian, Dennis, Al Jardine, Marks etc. they include In the rotation.

  26. I don't play any musical instrument but have always been fascinated by the looks of electric guitars and the seemingly endless variety of sounds they can produce. Guess it's largely due to many years of listening to early Ventures albums and the tones they managed to produce with their Mosrites.

    But just what kind of rig are you playing in this video? It doesn't look familiar to me at all and the pick guard in particular looks like a custom one-off. In a lot of ways, to my untrained ears, it sounds like a resonator. Is it a solid or a semi-hollow body? For whatever reason I was a bit surprised to see that guitar producing the sound you're coaxing out of it.

    And great sound for playing in what looks like an echo chamber.
