Yeah im OCD on details I guess. But, this car will see time at shows and drive on the street as well as hopefully, 10 second passes.... although my chassis guy says not to put his name on it if it doesnt go 950s lol

As I'm waiting on pillar parts from Lee Kay I was able to install a stock 40 instrument cluster. I will restore the cluster when cars in paint shop. I plan to run a 3 gauge panel under dash with the appropriate Stewart Warner gauges but I just love the stock cluster.

To me the original gauge cluster gives it a touch of class and brings back more of its Willys DNA

  5. That was actually a factory option in '33-42 Willys. Along with Olds rear end, 4spd Dual Range Hydro, Halibrand small window wheels, and 'Vair steering gear. Oh and you could also ask for a chrome 4" pipe, lead filled rear bumper for slight extra charge.
I'm really suspicious of this thread. Shop looks WAY too sanitary. Doesn't look real.

  13. about posting enlarged photos. You post has the large first photo but also show it reduced at the bottom of the post. I discovered that this application does this automatically if you enlarge a photo, decide to remove it and put it in another location. When you make that move, it creates a second small version. When you finish a post, go down thru the small photos and erase the duplicates in the column. I hate computers!

Started redoing the cowl, well, actually there was no cowl really so I'm starting from scratch. Obviously there wasn't enough strength in pillars to handle weight of doors. 20220901_182744.jpg 20220901_182732.jpg

Ok both doors on, close enough to do final gaps after body is on new chassis. Next up all the rear sheetmetal. 20220903_181704.jpg 20220903_181640.jpg 20220903_181559.jpg

That is one lucky car. To find someone with the skill and drive to bring it back right, happens very seldom.Great job.

Crazy Dissection. Hard to push forward with the completion I'll bet. Is there only one person working on this project? Do you have a due date in mind?
