You're welcome and thank you, I've been wanting to make it to this show for years and something was always in the way...

I would have had more pics but I ran out of phone juice...I did go out for a ride later and charged it up, still found plenty to shoot...

  3. We take 7 quite often and saw the downed trees too. Wife noticed that many weren't even ripped out of the ground, strangely they were broken at what appeared to be half way up. What a mess though :(

Maybe next year you can make a milestone run in the Hotrod...I don't recommend a round trip...I did and I'm still paying a bit for it...but what a journey and a pile O Cool!!

Funny you mention that @Stogy ...... This year(every year) was hard to get things for the goody Bag... so we got creative and started throwing in small items, like cutlery , soup ladels, old Auto mags, anything that was funny.. like wedding photos and old weird stuff.
I wonder who got the 4 issues of Auto Buff?

    ha ha ha

Thanks Fitness, you started a trend, or perhaps you're carrying on a long Tradition of experiencing one of the coolest engines going in Hotrod...;)

It was a fantastic event indeed.

It is...It will be scarred for many years but young growth will come back...one very picturesque spot I always admire for it tranquility was hit real hard...trees were toppled all around the small lake into the water and the farm that overlooks it from the other side was leveled to a large degree...if you're passing through Perth, Smiths Falls region PM me I'd like to say hello over a coffee or otherwise...

Thanks for posting all the pics @Stogy! Too bad we missed you as we could only attend on Friday. It’s was too bad as there weren’t too many cars there on Friday, but my daughter had to be back home on Saturday for a course. Will be back next year though for both days. Got a Jalopy Jam Up tee and this. Lol!

Hey Stogy, I attended 2019 with a friend from Haida Gwaii which is an island off the west coast of British Columbia. He wanted to come down for this year's but couldn't get a flight. I just got off the phone with him and he was raving about your pictures, felt almost as if he was there. Great seeing you and thanks for the memories.

You Snowmexicans sure seem to have all the fun! I´ll threaten you to plan our next trip to Canada around that time of the year so we can be there and steal some of your fun.:D There, now you got it. Thanks for sharing all these impressions, @Stogy

You win, I have 6726 kms but I´d have to paddle 2/3s of it...

    Great pics @Stogy :D

...but we gotta talk about this truck. I know from experience that a "40 Deluxe hood doesn't fit/line up with a '40 pickup cowl. I also know that '40 Deluxe hood and Deluxe grille just don't fit/line up with '38-'39 pass. fenders...there' a LOT more to this truck than meets the eye:cool:.

It was a cruise even for me...240 or more miles one way in a less than ergo friendly Hotrod was a milestone but there were others that came from twice maybe three times that distance... @57JoeFoMoPar made a hike up from NJ

I know a couple came out from Alberta in a 32 Roadster a couple years ago...They had quite the bug collection...;)

It really is one of the best Vintage Hotrod/Custom events I have been too. I look forward to the next one...

August is also a truly stellar month of the Summer...usually a bit cooler...

I'm going next Year...I hope to see more of this niche group of Hoodlums there and I'll bet there will be...it's actually a sprawling country setting as well with room to camp out....AND a swap meet...

Your Chrysler, like Joe's Olds should make the distances travelled more comfortable being much more modern in the suspension and interior department...Hope you give it a whirl 57...;)

  23. Jeff has a 331 Hemi for me so that’s why he suggested the truck, however the car is definitely more comfortable, it’s like driving my couch down the road. I will be almost at the Manitoba border with my camper next summer on august long weekend….

Thanks Jack, yes I certainly noted this was a pretty customized Pickup indeed and the look was fitting...It was a stunner and driven Truck but was certainly Show-worthy with a couple bits of roadrash...

...This is the group of pics that belong to this Pickup...I suspect it has adjustable stance and would have liked to have seen it at a different altitude and that's in fact one of the pros of that...you'd have too as some of the roads around here are abysmal...

  25. Looks like it was a blast !!!!

I unfortunately had to miss it this year . I had waterproofing done around the house last year in the fall and the company that did the work was supposed to come back and finish off the landscaping as part of the job, well ….. they hosted me
So I ended up taking last week off to do what I need to get done and it was a huge undertaking !!
Totally planning on coming Saturday but my neighbour and dad offered to help on Saturday so I had to take them up on it .

    12 yards of soil removed
7 yards of line stone screenings spears and graded and 700 sqft of stone laid , still have the side and back to complete with stones .
    I’m soooooooooooo tired !
