The boy sent me these. It's sitting on a fence line near Deary, Idaho. IMG_20220820_095903.jpg IMG_20220820_095927.jpg

  4. Didn't get a pic of it but saw a Goggomobil yesterday sitting in the weeds while we were out for a drive...after a quick look and chuckle, I determined it was right where it belonged

My buddy sent some pics from his walk along the river yesterday:

Oh man, I hope it’s not a Zephyr. If it is I’ll have to drag it home and that’ll be all kinds of mess. I was guessing it’s one of those early 50’s Dodge/Plymouth coupes but haven’t really researched it yet. Something looks off though.
    Edit:
Everyone’s typing at once! 41 it is!

  11. Well i started searching for late 30's and early 40's 3 window coupes, Willys came to mind first.

I was just thinking about how proud somebody was when they drove that one away from the dealership for the first time. 4 door wagon, so a family car, everything shiny and new....

Load up all the kids and their best friends and some picnic supplies, then head for the lake.

  20. Fabber McGee, my thoughts exactly. Everyone of these vehicles was new at one time, somebody was proud of it. They washed it, waxed it, and drove it with pride. Now look at them. My uncle had a 65 (I think, it was a long time ago) Ford Galaxy he bought new, 427, 4spd, loaded car. It rusted to pieces. The last time I ever saw it, years ago, it was sitting behind the house. The kids used it as a play ground.

  25. This thing is definitely rotting, though it sits along a highway for sale - phone number listed, no price. I think it might be a late '50s Chevrolet Delivery Step Van.

The last time I posted something like this, it brought the ire of some HAMBERs, who thought it inappropriate for the site. I didn't really understand then, still don't. What the heck, I'll try it again. Admins will remove it if need be.

It is a real word, Here in western North Carolina we have the Pisgah National Forest and Pisgah Mountain. The Word derives from the Hebrew word for summit and which was the biblical mountain from which Moses first saw the promised land.
