Yes I know . . . The car is pretty darn original. After Bob Magee's ownership, there were some very poorly done changes made to the car. All of that was corrected with the restoration work I did.
Great write up on a truly amazing 32 Roadster. Having built one myself, I can appreciate the work that was put into Magee's.
Here is my humble attempt at building a model of one of my favorite deuces. If you are a McGee fan like I am, you will see some details on the model are not right, but it was the best I could do. I have HOURS making the hood. I had to graft in louvers from side hoods to the top, and hand file the side louvers from originals.
The McGee car has starred in more movies than I can recall, seen most of them, 'Hot Rod Gang' showed it in more 'action' than the rest... So, PWood. Is there a flathead back in it now??? Any specs?
Amazing video and testimonials! Love it... The mother was right when pronuncies hot roots, just only no ones realized at that time!
Thanks for sharing these wonderful pics from DC. It was a memorable day for this classic roadster. Never Lift...
That video was amazing. The car is timeless. Thank you Bruce and all the folks who brought it back to its former glory. It is worthy!
