  4. It's a Puzzle without the subrails!! I understand why Ford became so popular in Hot rodding since Chevs were eaten by termites! Steel subframes rules.

  5. Stogy: The Plan it's to finish the top and made some structure to mock up the body in the chassis with a channel! When I figure the right body stance will proceed to make the subs. In the rear maybe to complete the look, I would use a 32 style tank! since the project it's a fenderless hot rod it's difficult by his nature trying to pursue the 33-34 Ford body lines! The 33-35 Chevs have a short rear quarters and other lines, I think looks better fully dressed... But fenderless with the choptop its coming so good!

Why are you wrecking out a 4 door if it's a good solid car? Would make a great family hot rod or resto'

Tradition and it's his. I'm also of the opinion the leftovers may aid many down the road so nothing truly goes to waste...

It's even economics...and in rust belt Ontario good metal saves rework...4 doors yes, have a place in Hotrod but also have been many times left behind and considered parts cars to the more desirable 2 doors...there in lies the Traditional connection...

There has been a resurgence of 4dr/2dr conversions as the costs of the more desirable 2drs has lead to revisiting of the once more expensive family models as candidates for surgery or as they are...

I guess the availability of tools in the average garage and the how to everywhere you look has changed the dynamics as well...

But also coundnt wrap my head around spending any time and money on a car that would never be worth more than 10- 12 grand

I love Chevy frame rails, ('27-'33) used a pair under a Model A roadster pickup, fenderless hiboy. Frame kickup is 'tasty', and one doesn't have to use the semi-elliptics... I used '27 'T' rear and '28 'A' front crossmembers...
Truck got lots of looks at Billetproof, guys asked why he ironed the reveals out of a Deuce frame! LOL

  14. Awesome!! Do you have a picture??
This 33 frame it's a Master with 110" wheelbase seems to me a very tough construction! Some 28-29 frames from Chevys looks almost similar in shape but light weight! The Chevs, Rugby and Whippet brands looks similar those years with 4 springs!

  15. When I did my 34 chev 5 window I had no frame and used a 34 ford reproduction frame .The frame fit the body great !!

  16. Could it be that there was a bit of espionage between the two companies back then? From an economic market perspective, Argentina was one of the countries where US automakers exported their most affordable cars.

  24. Hello friends... since January 2023 the '33 Chevy is no longer in our workshop... I will leave you some photos outside the workshop... and also two photos that its owner sent me... the good thing is that the chop top that I had been looking for... is going to stay like this. It is not easy to give a touch to a Chevy like this. So I think the search for symmetry, the wedge shape, was quite well achieved.
