These are the spec tire for the SEGA super stock cl***. I bought a pair for the 40, curious on air pressure ( awaiting a call back ).
I just put some of these on my 57 Chevrolet sedan delivery Junior Stocker and ran 24 lbs. in them with no problem. This is a 3300lb. car with a 220hp 283 and a powerglide with a 4.88 gear.
Hey thanks for the reply! I did get a call back from Hoosier. They recommended 9-12lb. Lower than I thought. Right now I have them aired up to about 16lb and did a quick hit in the driveway to get the nubs off and the pattern looked fairly even. So I think I might start there and drop it from there. I should be right at 3000lb, 450hp 410, Super T-10 and 3:90 gear.
I have run them as low as 10 pounds. I usually start at 15 or so and work my way down, depending on conditions. ironandsteele.com
I have similar size M&H on my Chevy II, I run 20 lbs in them...M&H says to start high and drop if it spins, mine hook, so I run them that high. Helps handling too...it's pretty sketchy at lower pressure. Being altered wheelbase might have something to do with it.
Thanks, that quite a range how do you like them? I'm hoping a lot better than towel city recaps. They seem soft....and light.
I also have the M&H version and run them at 22psi but I’m probably 100hp less and car weighs 2,400lbs stick shift.
