Surprisingly I didn't have any trouble in the TD on my long trip through the Rockies last April. Lots of freeway driving, it wasn't a big deal. I guess it depends where you are, though.

On the road with 6V Model A headlights

 

First stop to top off the tank and drain mine but they are closed...
Lost the luggage rack its 45 degrees so closed the back panel to see if I could keep in some of the cold air for later

Yeah, the 6v headlights leave alot to be desired, I did the LED upgrade from Berts, the lights are so much better...
