…in a good way. I’ve never been somewhere where I want to look over EVERY car in detail. I’m a bit overwhelmed. I can’t believe they let me register my turd. Anyway, I’ll post pics here periodically throughout the weekend

My co-pilot at the Pioneer woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, OK. Really cool Rex Rods built deuce, and lastly my 39 out back of our 1920’s AirBNB.

 

Scratched my head on this one. I think this is a 59 Ford front bumper. Didn’t find the owner to confirm. Really cool!

Every person I’ve asked in previous years “does every one only take photos of the first few cars because they are all good and you get totally over whelmed?” The answer was yes every time. Hundreds of amazing cars. It’s hard to even comprehend

I told my wife tonight that this morning it felt like maybe I had died.

the weather was 100% perfect.
I looked around and saw probably 300 cars that were all hop up, rodders journal, and EARLY car magazine feature cars and at every turn there were friends from every corner of the country. People I’ve known online forever and never met.

it was 100%*****ing surreal. I’m still processing the day truthfully.

the best part how ever was taking the 100 plus mile drive with all these cars. Flooding tiny towns with so many cars that they out numbered the buildings in city limits was neat, and the food fantastic, but we came around a corner as an elementary school was having recess and I’ve never in my life seen so many kids sprint together in my life. Tons of them just plastered up against the fence watching this endless line of hot rods and cool**** early customs cruise on by. Man nothing beats that. To the “is hot rodding dying?” Post?***** no! As long as little kids think hot rods are cool we will be just fine.

Can’t wait for tomorrow!

-also was gonna hitch a ride with ya Dan but we never saw you again, @guthriesmith we saw you a million times as we checked off pink on our list of colors we saw today. Probably got ten photos of us waving from the late model lol

 

Ah bummer @Tim would have loved to have you along. Jack got bored talking to me he needed someone else to talk to..

I wound up the 39 to 4 grand in low in front of that elementary school then backed off and let the straight pipes cackle. I could see the grins!
