Songs like this make me wish I was young again....... Think I was 12 when I first heard this one on AM 800 CKLW here in Detroit.....

  12. I was 16 years old when I first heard this song. 1972, Living in the California San Fernando Valley back then.
Just got my driver's license and had a 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback K Code. Cost me, ready for this, $800.00 The beach was 20 minutes from my house. Life was simple and fun back then. No BS!

Listening to Jerry Blavat, the Geater with the Heater, a Philadelphia legend on 92.1 WVLT on line. Classic oldies in a live DJ format.

Well I graduated [barely] high school in '66. While I did like the current stuff at the time I always reverted back to the Doowop of late 50'/early 60's, now so more than ever. The group The Crystalairs out of Germany are about the best I've found for Doowop current groups. They cover songs but have a very large portion of new material. Can't go wrong with any of their CD's.

"American Routes", on in half an hour ... usually pretty good cajun & zydeco. Check your college station.

Lately I've been listening to a little Peter Parcek "Mississippi Suitcase" ..pretty long album so I don't have to think about it.
