This cool gathering out in the Kentucky country side, will be the new version of the " BIG CHILL " for hot rods and interesting rides, and unique people!
I sure hope there will be at least one semi sober person, that can get a lot of footage, for a great YouTube video of this historic event !

Unfortunately, my age and location make me a 99% "NO". However, I do have to say that you seem to be going about setting this up the right way; plenty of advance notice and convivial chatter.

The 1% chance? If this coincides with my trip from Minnesota to Florida next fall, I can see changing my route a bit to be there. That is if I am still able to drive the 4 days and 2200 miles and (BIG IF), you won't throw rocks at the Kia I have to drive to get down there.

Let he who is without a Kia cast the first stone. We all, or maybe many of us have off topic daily drivers. If you can make it, GREAT, if not, this thread has been a party I look forward to. I'm committed to go, that said, I have no idea what the future holds.

What a nice idea, Lloyd, really. a bit too far away though. I hope it will be a great get together and a nice party. Hopefully you will report on the H.A.M.B..

I have doubts about adding this to my schedule, but if I can pull it off, I would love the opportunity to meet so many HAMB members, let alone the larger than life Lloyd! So I am a distinct possibility of a definite maybe...

Word of warning. When you get there Lloyd might pass out sanding blocks and drop into the conversation "While you're here how about giving me a hand to sand this project down". :D

Providing he is supplying beer, block sanding is a reasonable request :D

    Cheers,

I don't know about you but if I drink while sanding, the next morning it looks like a lake on a windy day.

Lloyd: "You kids keep it down! You don't want me to have to come out there!"

    giggles

    "I mean it!"

Will there be a swapmeet? ;)
If not I expect I will have to miss it.
I have 15 minute to a hours worth of "Hi,how are you...nice to meet you" in me for socializing.
Not anti-social just not very sociable.
Looks like it will be well attended. Have fun.

Heck yeah! Bring some extra parts to sell! Preferably a left wing window for a 60 Chevy 2 door sedan lmao! And there will be no sanding going on! There is pretty much everything here on sight to fix any issues somebody might have with their car, but that would be the limit of work going on :D

  25. So, are you going to send out engraved invitations with RSVP cards and self-addressed stamped envelopes or do we have to sit by the phone waiting for your call? (us old guys tend to be more traditional than you young whippersnappers!)

Don't forget the little tissue paper filler that goes somewhere in the invite but serves not apparent purpose whatsoever.
