Just picked up a new station wagon project (I may be in over my head). It's a 1964 Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire with the optional 289 V8 and rare 4 speed manual transmission. I shot a video of us looking it over and figuring out how to open the sliding roof.

  3. Some new sketches.

Not sure which paint I like better. It's hard to beat the blue.

There are some drain tubes at each end of the large track pieces the roof slides on. The rubber tubes are probably all gone. They originally drained into the rocker panels and the bottom of the rear quarter panels! Run some new tubing and drill holes in the rockers and quarter panels to run the new tubing through. There, you have now out-engineered Studebaker and you can avoid some rust in the future!

It was probably the bean counters that insisted that 3 extra inches of tubing x4 was a bridge too far in the cost of the design.
