Very slick video. Well thought out plan of attack. Fantastic results! Well worth watching. “Make It Kustom” …on YouTube!
The only thing I can think of to do differently is remove all crud from the bottom of the hood before starting. Cleaning up the inside of all those louver’s would be a pain…
I worked for a place that made gas pumps, signs, newspaper boxes, etc and so on; we had a contract for USA Today for their boxes, and we had a hell of a time with the zinc coming off the galvanized sheet metal in our press dies making edge folds. The zinc would collect in the die and make tells in the sheet metal that we had to either hand hammer out or fill . PITA for sure. Imagine getting set to run a bunch of louvers on a hood with **** on the underside like underseal or body schutz. (a German car thing, like undercoating)
He's a pretty good teacher and talks across to you rather than down to you. I've watched several of his videos.
Great video. Only change I'd make is I'd scribe a center line on the flat edge of his die so you can then use a felt pen to mark center on the metal, and ensure to make each louver perfectly centered much easier and eliminate guesswork.
