Was messing around with my old Gibson down at the shop again. This is a cover of Freddie King's instrumental Hot Tomato.
@Deuces even if I couldn't find a drummer I could at least get somebody to bang on some old valve covers or something!
Used to listen to Rock n Roll, and then smooth jazz when I really needed to pay attention. Lately I've been listening to sand paper on primer which is much more soothing than the hammer/dolly music that came before. Or I listen to whatever I want thanks to my cell phone and a $10.00 Blue tooth speaker. Ramble on.......
And this is the oldest version that I can find of the song (1939) Some differences! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Betty
I have Sirius XM with docks in four different trucks & in the shop. When I was in Afghanistan Sirius & XM had $ troubles & when they merged they needed cash. They offered a one time deal for a lifetime membership for $300 & my wife bought one for me! So I listen to mostly the 50s, 60s, Classic Vinyl, Tom Petty channel, Classic Rewind, NASCAR & 148 the Classic Radio channel- All them old radio plays! Inner Sanctum, The Whistler, The Martian Chronicles, The Saint, Dragnet & my Fave Johnny Dollar Ins Investigator. The man with the Action Packed Expense Account! I just wish they had a Lynyrd Skynyrd channel...
Recently picked up a couple of old Blues CDs at a yard sale. Like them more each time I’m in the garage and turn them on.
