Not traditional HAMB, but much of my build is.

Not sure anyone follows this site anymore. It's weird.

  4. You might want to consider removing your post with the late model wheels. I would hate to see your thread shutdown by the moderators for something that doesn’t really add anything significant to an otherwise interesting build thread. I’m enjoying your thread so far, keep going!

Yeah, bmw seats and modern wheels isnt within the parameters.... not a question of cool, thats for you, its your car! Just not traditional by this forums standards. It is possible for you to do non traditional things and just not post about those aspects. Many on here do it with mustang 2 front ends, they just dont draw attention. Neat project! Glad youre making progress

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. Cool is cool.

This seat came in my Shoebox, it's obviously not correct. However the hardware for installation lines-up perfectly. Any idea what it originally came out of? IMG_20221101_194219283_HDR.jpeg

    hi parabola,
does the brake booster brings a top swivel brake pedal with it, or is it a remote unit for the standard brake pedal position?

Hey Miguel, it's a top swivel unit from Jegs.
I had to double up the sheet metal on the fire wall to reduce flex, but I it seems like a pretty solid unit for a reasonable price.

Does anyone following this have any pictures of your custom brake lines? IMG_20221218_134426399_HDR.jpeg

  18. On the previous page you posted a picture that's kind of hard to see but you say magic Air above it so I'm guessing that you are adding air conditioning to your system? And if so I guess it's too late to consider "old air products " air conditioning. It can be situated and hidden behind the dash and looks a lot better than something hanging down... Then for fresh air all you need is the passenger side and you don't need the fan on the firewall and then you can move the driver side fresh air damper to the passenger side and block off the driver's side fresh air and put an electronic actuator on it like I did. Then you can use that driver side fresh air plenum below the fender to tap into and use for cold air carburetor inlet...I'll send more if you're interested...

The Magic Air box is the original heater that came in the car. I haven't decided if I'm going to install A/C yet.

  20. I understand. Oregon has a little bit different weather pattern than Texas does. But if you do decide to install air conditioning I have some details on my website that might help out.

I was stupid enough to buy Old Air Products. Stay away from this company. They did not supply enough defroster duct in the kit for my 57 chevy and insisted that I pay more to get enough. I have been working on old cars since 1963 and have driven antiques ONLY for 53 years. It took me 4 months to get the under dash unit installed. It was such a nightmare that I talked to the guy in charge at Old Air and he admitted that he had never installed his unit in a 57 Chevy. After I got it going, the blower didnt do anywhere close to cooling my car even after I installed a clear shower curtain behind the front seat. Stay away from Old Air. It was a total loss of my time and money

  23. Ohhhhhh unhappy boy..... Well all I've got to say is my experience has been exactly the opposite. I had plenty of flex to hook up my FOUR underdash supply grills and plenty of duct to hook up my TWO defrost grills with about a foot left over. I installed all clear glass in the car but I also insulated the roof above the headliner and the firewall and the floor and sealed up the back seat from the trunk. Their systems always have a draw through fan arrangement so that you don't get the nasty fan sound that you do from other systems that are blow through. Even in 105° weather with the sun shining it does just fine keeping my car cool. FOUR MONTHS? Holy cow, something significantly wrong with this picture. You might aughta try to find somebody that knows something about air conditioning to troubleshoot your slow work to find out why there's a problem with it. I've been through four Texas summers since I've been on the road and I've got absolutely zero whining to do about it. You do understand what insulation does don't you? You should try it sometime.

I'm hoping the heat shield/soundedner will help with the heat. The two giant fresh air ducts and wing windows should keep me cool while I'm on the road. IMG_20220530_131833689.jpeg IMG_20220530_131827473_HDR.jpeg IMG_20220626_133607878_HDR.jpeg

Please shoot me your website address. I'm always looking to learn. I want A/C and I don't mind working some overtime to fund the purchase

  27. And don't forget to do your door panels and the inner fender next to the back seat where the cab is with waterproof.. I glue a second layer of plastic sheeting over the insulation for good measure since water gets in the doors from your windows...

And here's my website. And the screen works better if you view it on your PC rather than your phone so you can see the text better.
