When I was a kid my dad would be in the garage building his kustoms and I would be at his side kustomizing my bicycles. Now (3rd generation kustomizers) my kids are into their bikes my oldest son Austin 13, has a full dress old Schwinn Cruiser similar to a fully accessorized 38 Fleetline with all the bells and whistles. My middle son Matthew 10, is currently building an old Schwinn rat rod style flat black, fenderless and raked out. Any way this is how I got my start and hopefully my kids will have the same passion for cars.
Lets see what you have or have had.

This is the 1949 Schwinn that I recently bought from a friend down the street for $60. It still has the original paint.

This is my daily driver! Its a pretty tough bike, and its uphill all the way to my school, 3km! So its garanteed to make you sweat!!

Its a late 40ies delivery bike, and its the "short" model, all I have done to this "beaty", is replacing the rear rim and made a special "Clark Kent" wirering with the spokes! I bought the bike for 100$, and the new rim and tire was about 60$, so I dont think its cheap for US standards but its ok here!

The car belongs to my littlebrother and is a 54 Chevy! :)

    for my son Keanu.
He has just become seven years old, and he is bussy customizing his pedalkart (?) and learning how to use the airbrush.

i've got two that i am proud of.
the first is a 42 penco that my grandfather bought my grandmother when they got married. they actually got married on pearl harbor day in vegas. they were on the hoover damn when the japs bombed pearl harbor and were kicked off the damn because the army didn't know how far the invasion would go. he went and bought her the bike after they left the damn. that was her only transportation, she never drove a car her whole life.

the second is a lowrider that i built. it is a copy of the one i had when i was a kid. exept this one is beach cruiser not a 20". it is for sale if anyone is interested.

Here is a bike I put together a couple of years ago. I threw it together pretty quick and ride it often....around the block with the kids, camping and at the salt flats!

This is my first bike I had as a kid. I got it used in about 1975'ish. It is an old Huffy.

That is slick! I got to get some cool parts for my bikes. I have a 69 stingray, a 24" lowrider custom schwinn, a AMX sting ray clone thing, a couple lowrider 20"ers and a dyno cruiser. Gotta take some pics... I love old bikes.

While we are talking old bikes, I am hunting an E. Dale Ent. six spoke mag, rear coaster brake model if anyone has one they'd like to sell. It's metal, and has a bunch of twin spokes that make a series of a tear drop shapes. I have two fronts but I need a rear.

Also hunting a crusty "Rat Trap" springer fork from an old Higgins or similar bike...The crustier the better.

Do a search for monday bicycles. I was trying to get a weekly post going, but I have nothing new to add since I have been moving, selling off projects, working, and dealing with pregnant wife. I posted pics of many of my bikes and other people added to it. Next month I should have something new to show.

Hemi, I do have a lot of metal mag wheels, but I don't remember which I have buried in the back of the shed.

Ricky, lower the seat all the way down, and then turn the bars upside-down and angle the grips at 45 degrees from the ground, like an early board-track racer. Then take another picture of the bike and post it here.

Just like one of my projects. I want different forks that I will modify to look like early Indian, and I am going to make a brace to mount the seat farther back.

I am going to replace the home made cooler with one that I will skin with stainless.
I also will kustomize it with a rack from a Higgens and any other parts I find.
Can you get a open bottle ticket on a bike with a cooler full of beer??

I just picked this one up recently. This weekend, I found another that looks like it's twin. Trying to contact the owner to see if I can pick it up. They have it sitting on a trailer in a field with their horses...
