  2. Are you planning to have it dropped? IF so you wont get much drop out of it. If you are planning a Doane Spencer / Rolling bones type front end, it will work up dropped but you steering availability will be reduced with the 48 axle since the wishbone perches are so much closer to the kingpin bosses when the wishbones are split and mounted to the outside of the frame rails. A 32 to 36 axle works much better and give you much more room between the rear edge of the tire and the wishbone before the tire hits the wish bone in a tight steering situation.

Going for the Rolling Bones style....I contacted the seller and asked if he could cancel.

I'll track a 32-36 axle down and I'd assume the same year wishbone?

Do as another suggested, give Okie Joe a call, he has the odd axle in stock and will drop it to your need, thats all he does, been doing for decades and it is an art form:

Not sure that Joe is an information center, he's easy to talk to, all he does is drop axles and been doing it for 40ish years. He'll offer to resize the pin end to tighten it up, other than that he might pass. One thing for sure, having one of his axles will add value to your car.
