Technical PCV question

    I've got finned valve covers on my Olds, and want to run a PCV. The correct one for the motor, goes too deep into the valve cover, and is too narrow to fit into one of those baffled grommets. Wondering if I could run the valve sideway (horizontal) so I can clean up the looks of it.

    Put it in the valley cover.

    '63-'64 Chevy had one that mounted horizontal at the rear base of the carb

    ^^^^^^ common in the early era of PVC valves. A V100 is the standard replacement today. The hose was fed from the road draft tube connection thru the lifter valley “trash can” oil separator.. When the block design was changed everything moved to the rocker arm covers.
