Interesting stuff. I've seen some great examples, but too many times they just don't get things quite right

For me, the back window of the cab either makes or breaks these rigs....that Stude WAS beautiful, but it burned up.

Got to agree with the fellows above, some work great, most don’t.

A friend had a 57 two door wagon that had been made into a pickup back 45 years ago that he didn't want much for but at that time I was broker than all get out. I should have bought it and made a daily driver out of it.
OT rig but I sold a 51 Merc body and some parts to a guy from BC back years ago who was driving a 77/79 Cad Coupe deville that they had put the Bed from a second or third gen Elkie in and I'm thinking used the Elkie back window. Probably the best looking car to pickup conversion I ever saw and it looked like it rolled out of the factory that way.

The 41 Ford was built by my dad in 48/49 from a wrecked 41 business coupe. Used new cab back, bed and fenders. Sure whish I knew where it is now.

There's a build thread on here about a shoebox ute, done absolutely beautifully. I'm too lazy to search it, but it's on here! Lol.
