Thanks for the picture and video.
It looked like a blast. Some really cool stuff showed up. I’m going to have to make one of these sometime.

My Coupe had an Inline 6 with a Wayne head at one time. Original owner told me it HAULED ASS! I don't know about this one, but the one in my Coupe was injected.

That's Chick's Roadster. I'm sure you guys are aware of Tony Huntimer's passing? Good to see Chick at the event....

Chic comes to Lug Nuts and Coffee almost every Saturday at Karen's Donuts in Mentone. She drives the roadster EVERYWHERE. Even drove it to Bonneville last September.

  8. It was posted all over social media and @Bad Bob even started a thread here. Heck, I got an invite and I live halfway across the country in Sodak!

  10. Can't wait! Seems I take very few photos of my own at these events. I look forward to see what others take. Cheers!

You're welcome. I'm surprised more people haven't commented about that engine.

  23. That looked like a lotta fun boys and girls. Thanks for your efforts to share. It must have been the camera angle, but it looked like Joey was getting beat. Nice to see South Omaha Speed in attendance. Nice, nice nice…

  24. Great shot!

Thanks, I had my fingers crossed when I shot it. I was looking to get the coupe, the airplanes and Mt Roubidoux all together in the shot and it worked out.

So my buddy and I were walking around looking this car over when the owner came up and asked if we had any questions. I said "yeah, I have a bunch of questions". So he told us all about it. It was made by Coachcraft in the early 40's, maybe 41 or 42; it's built on a 39 Ford chassis which is pretty much stock. It uses 40 Mercury fenders, hood and grill. The color I believe he said it's a 42 Mercury yellow, he does not know what the original color was, this is just his best guess. He bought this car when he was just 15 years old. He and his dad rebuilt it completely, frame off restoration back to it's original design after someone had done some modifications some time in the past. the car has been in multiple magazines over the decades, when it was new and after restoration.

Here's photos of what it looked like when he acquired it.

A photo of the car with it's original owner, who I was told was a Hollywood studio big wig.

The owner with is pride & joy
