You probably thought I was done, right? Nope, not yet. Still got more....

 

Great photos and a few PNW cars in the mix both racing and sitting.

That 32 Pheaton looks to be one that was for sale here locally for a long time but so poorly presented that it didn't sell until last July.

 

Yeah, looks like the same car.

 

I heard next years event will be in April, anyone know for sure.

 

April would be a lot better for folks from up north or from North East of so Cal to travel there.

 

I've heard talk of it being twice a year, so I don't know what to believe at this point. I think if they try to do it too often the homeowners of all those homes you can see across the track are going to push back, just like they always do.

 

This is the 3rd TROG event I've been to here on the West coast, and this is the first one that had such a huge turnout of hot rods and customs driven in by spectators, not officially part of the event. I may be wrong, but I don't think the club quite expected this, and it seemed to me they really didn't know how to handle it. I'm hoping that IF they hold the event again at this same location that they organize a better drive in for the hot rodders coming to the show. I'll wrap up my coverage of the show with a few more pics of spectator cars.

Was heading down the 101 going back home from the central coast dealing with my moms estate stuff and saw this on a trailer heading North. Looks a like a mid 50s F100 donated its hood for this version of the german helmet.
Had the model of the Red Barron when I was a kid, hadn't thought of it for years until I saw this tribute.

Now I know where he was heading from.

 

I have pics of that thing at VLV in 2004.

that little bit of glare is not a flaw. one year at at Bakersfield i took a BUNCH of "crummy" sun in the wrong spot and too low pictures and the effects the "bad angles" had on my pics were pretty cool. digital is free, take hundreds and toss the bad ones. I kind of like those sun spots.
