Has anyone found a wireless push button for a remote horn that looks more original, retro. I want to attach it to the center of my Grant Banjo Wheel

You could carry a mariach band with you and have them play La Cocarocha at your request.

    did a quick google search

    this poped up.

lots of Bluetooth push buttons but they all look “modern”

maybe you can retrofit an old horn button with the Bluetooth button underneath ?

Can't believe the column you have doesn't have provision even for a "clock spring" or slip ring type set of contacts inside?

@Bert Kollar , what steering column are you using?

Why isn't original type horn wiring and button suitable to your situation?

There was thread on years back that showed an aftermarket door popper pushbutton mounted under a '40 (I think) horn button with the receiver tooting the horn. There are also universal single function remotes on Amazon.

I want to try this, I have a little room, but I dont think the signal likes being enclosed by the metal.

Over a short distance it may work - I have a module inside my radio under the dash that'll work to about 10 feet.

How about a picture of the wheel where the horn assembly should go?

Pull the column shaft out of the sleeve, along with the hub.

Chuck it in a lathe and drill a hole in it big enough for a 16ga wire, plus a little.

Put it in a mill, and side drill it into the center hole, with a ball mill. Chamfer and smooth that hole edge.

Install a wire. Use high-strand-count silicon jacketed wire.

Drill a hole in the column sleeve, on the top, out of sight. Put a rubber grommet in that hole.

Runt the wire down through it, but leave enough slack that you can turn the wheel without stressing the wire.

Use the wire to ground a relay. Use the relay to control your horn.

A good machine shop can do all of the metal work for you inside of a single labor-hour.

I did a set up like that once and the stress from constant movement eventually ruined the wire

Its Speedways simple 28" s/s column. I needed a very short 28" column and the wired version wasnt avilable that length. Wheel is a Grant

@gimpyshotrods plan with a copper contact bushing and Jeep brush instead of the looped wire sounds like a good way to go.

  26. This is getting into some deep thought here.

but could you mount the button and the Bluetooth “ guts” in the wheel and sneak the antenna outside of the horn button enclosure , glue or bond it to the side of the wheel under the spokes maybe make it hard to next to impossible to see ?

    maybe maybe not ?

Thats what I am going to try - if I can find the antenna. The bottom of my steering wheel hub is open and I hope the signal will sneak out. I'm only going to send the signal a foot or so
