I can****ure you, this is not the Pasadena Freeway. Way too many lanes...

This is a photo of the Pasadena Freeway. Actually, it is not and never has been a Freeway. It's real name is the Arroyo Seco Parkway (California State Route 110).

I bet they didn't make many of these, an Impala convertible that's not an SS.

The photo I posted is part of the Arroyo Seco Parkway aka Pasadena Freeway or as it was once numbered SR11. This location is just before the four level interchange heading into downtown. I have driven that section countless times when I lived in So Cal.

Well, I have lived in SoCal for 83 years, and drive the SR-110 two to three times a week from Pasadena to downtown L.A. The Arroyo Seco Parkway is 3 lanes in each direction. The other photo is the six lane part of the interchange, which eventually merges into the SR-110, which continues through downtown L.A for 33 miles, terminating in San Pedro at the harbor....

Three lanes in each direction. It was three lanes in 1940 and it's still three lanes.

This is the SR-110 (many call it the Harbor Freeway) going North approaching downtown L.A. and the 4-level interchange. Eventually, you have to merge into the appropriate lane to get on the highway to the destination of your choice. Kind of a nightmare, isn't it? And if you are from out of town and this is your first time in Los Angeles, good luck...

PS: I forgot to mention, the sign above and over the 110 North, Pasadena states "No Trucks". Any truck larger than a pick-up will get an expensive ticket if they are caught on the Arroyo Seco highway.
