Hot Rods Does a HAMBER own this T coupe

I’m pretty sure that coupe belongs to @blackjack

He is from the UK and that last picture shows UK in the logo at the bottom right side

I think this is the same car with different plates and wheels

 

If that is the case, then it just got going in the wrong direction with those tires and wheels.

 

Check out that front plate. It looks like it might be Japanese.
Looks like the steering wheel has also been changed. Same interior though

The guy that built it is a good pal of mine, and he is a HAMB member. We took many rides up and down the Pacific Coast Highway in it over the years. The OP photos were taken at an industrial complex in Oceanside California several years ago. He built it and painted in the garage of his home.

 

Was Blackjack the builder @Special Ed ?

He keeps a very low and private profile, so I don't want to name him without his permission ...
Here he is in the driveway of my home, from several years ago.

 

Sharp eye there Mr Moriarity. They sorta look like Allen head wheel bolts which would make sense if it is in Asia as the front plate may signal. Definitely looked better with the chrome steelies and white walls.

 

I absolutely agree. I would love to duplicate this car. I could ask the builder a lot of questions

The only thing that could make that ^^^^car better would be some fine, white panel striping. Tastefully applied of course.

No, that's not Geoffs, aka Blackjack. His is a roadster and doesn't have the white accents. In fact there are more differences than similarities! Sorry about that!

If you are going to paint it black, it's got to be right. IMO it is.

 

Wow! The black really makes it!!! The gold (which is a fav of mine) looks horrible compared to the redo

 

Gold became a T coupe favorite due to its appearance on the box top on the old AMT model.
