Hi all I live in the Minneapolis are and am looking for some one who knows about Ford 4 bangers with 2 and 4 Port Riley heads. I have a 29 roadster pick up with a 2 port and a 40's sprint car with a 4 port that runs on alcohol. The 2 port was built in the 80's and has run perfectly for years but is running rough now and I can't figure if I have a fuel problem or an ignition problem. Lots of back fire when cold. The 4 port was run by my dad on the west coast with the WRA up until about 10 years ago. He passed recently and was the brains behind these engines. I am looking for 1) someone who knows this stuff that can walk me through some things and 2) looking for others in the area who have this stuff and run them. Thanks! Will

Did your dad run a chrome shop in California? If so, I met him at BTTF’s years ago and chatted for quite a while.

Sorry I can’t help with your question.

We had a chrome shop that was part of our accessory manufacturing company in N Hollywood. He was only at the BT50's once or twice and it would have been about 10 yrs ago +/- Don't know if he's the same guy but may have been. Thanks for reaching out.

Got to be the same guy. Not too many blue A roadster pickups with that much chrome.

Here's another Minnesotan who's into bangers. If he doesn't know about overheads, maybe he knows someone else. @brjnelson
