@Barbarian I know about the thread Dave. I've read it. Don't forget my truck is in there too. I just thought I'd bring it up since it's a thread about badass drag inspired hot rods like yours.

My 33 pu was built in the late 60s and i changed very little on it.It did run low 12s back in the day.My 32 is drag style also.Skinnies in the front and slicks in the back is my favorite kind of hot rod. 052.jpg IMG_0454.JPG IMG_0064.JPG IMG_0060.JPG

Let's see. Blower, pie crust, white roll bar, yep! Really like the way that car looks with fenders and no chop!

  13. Yes, definitely! Can you tell me what rearend you are using and what is the width? Also wheel width and offset? My Towel City Cheaters show up here on Wednesday and I am stoked to get them. I have a 66Bronco 9 inch rear that is 54" wide. I think it will work for my full fendered 29 roadster.

  14. I have the early bronco rear in 3 of my cars, 53 inch backing plate to plate and 58 inch total width, I think it'll fit great in your 29, here's my T with 275/60/15 on 15x8.5 rim

This little 31 A coupe started out as the Dickinson Coupe from Tucumcari NM.
In 2017 Dee_Scott on Insta made a drag car out of it.
It was the poster car for 1st Santa Barbara TROG Drags.
One of the reasons I love this ride is because the engine doesn't over power the look of the car.

  16. guylunico, that coupe is right on. Fantastic stance. Is that a 103 1/2 wheelbase?

I'm not worthy to even speak...
But you guys are talking my language.

    Great thread.
I hope to be able to contribute to it one day.
I'll never be a serious drag racer. But I love the theme. I don't like boring, either.

    More, please!

I can get ya measurements of everything, but it’s a 32 Chevy much wider that a model A, not sure how much it will help you

  21. IMG_2593.JPG Nothing much to show at the moment. Working on polishing rims at the moment. Last pic is of the original shape of the openings before I started sanding to make them look a little more like Halibrands View attachment 5603219 View attachment 5603219 IMG_2595.JPG IMG_2596.JPG IMG_2589.JPG IMG_2587.JPG

My Anglia build for the street will have period graphics, yellow tinted windows, panel paint on the roof, rear steel wheels painted half white / half dark. Ignore the fat tires and radical rake - this was a clip art pic.

Love your car, pure hot rod, race car. But your painter didn't bend over and hit those door bottoms buddy, just sayin.

  25. Is this one you are currently working on? I'd like to see pics. Hope the rims are more traditional than what is in the clip art.

  26. front rollers are killer 15 x ?, the rears I'm not so much in love with are they US Indys ? ( Olds ? or large Ford bolt pattern?) what size 15 x ? rears Palamide, Halibrands or Americans Magnesium rims... just saying...

  27. The rears are very scarce NOS Dan Gurney 8.5 x 15's with an early Ford bolt circle. They will work for now and the front are 15x4's early Ford bolt circle too. The rears will get a center flat cover plate. Most A/SR's that you see have mismatched rim combo's from that era. If I could afford a bitchin' pair of rear magnesium rims I would have them already. I wish I had my old pair of Romeo Palmides rear 4 holers still. Merry Christmas Rob.

You've already scored a victory with me with those American Lemans wheels.
But I'd sell a kidney or give up a cel phone for life (if I owned one) to afford rear wheels that compliment your front wheels.

  30. Billy. The car is still wearing the paint that was put on around 1969-1970.
