So cool it's all one color, including the stock wheels. Plus no white walls. It's a 210. Less is more.

I agree...leave it the way it is. No tu-tone and absolutely no clear coat. It's an either leave it alone just cleaned up thing or do a bang-up resto-quality job repainting it as stock. Now mechanical upgrades like a re-wire job, a nice small block and a 4 speed trans...maybe some old American mags, I could see that.

 

Right on. Perfect hot rod material right there.

 

Two words/phrases to be banned permanently from the English language, well three technically:

1.PATINA
2.CLEAR it.

Both imply the latest trends that will both be invalidated in 10 years when the clear starts flaking off your 'patina' and the whole car will look like hammered dog s--t. Also, leave the 55 one color as it left the factory. Still has the white stripes on the wheels even. Too cool.

 

How'd you like to drive this to your 50th high school reunion!

 

Make that a 3 on the tree and valet park it. That’s always fun to watch.

New plates arrived last summer. I'm surprised it was available here in S0-Cal. The same with '56 & '57 were taken.

What he said^^ great looking car. Clean clean. Bought a Glory Grill for my 56 as well, haven't put it in yet tho. That's one of the coolest businesses one can patronize. Guy builds each grille to order, by hand, in his garage, since what, 1974 or something? Can't remember his name now, dangit.

 

Yep, early 70's to now. His name is Jerry. He used to live/have a shop in Long Beach, but he's since relocated to Lake Elsinore. Supper cool guy, he's also a Vietnam Veteran. Always fun hangin' out at his place and hearing all the old stories.

 

Yep! That's the one. Same Lake Elsinore that's in On Any Sunday too that's pretty cool.
