When I got a bigger, newer rotary table, I tried to sell my old 9" Troyke on eBay with little luck. I decided to use it as a rotary welding positioner with parts from an old drill press. It tilts up to 90 degrees, and uses a variable speed 12 volt dc motor. Three clamping shaft collars and some scrap steel bar make a sturdy adjustable hand rest.

Can we get some details on the motor and speed controller?

I have a positioner that is missing some parts.

Motor is a 12 volt dc 100 rpm gear motor from https://makermotor.com. Speed controller is from https://lnztech.com. Since my rotary table has a 40:1 worm drive reduction, your speed requirements will undoubtedly be different than mine.

Power supply is an older 8 amp 12 volt dc unit from Radio Shack. I picked it up on eBay.
