I posted my first ad to the HAMB in about 5 years, but I could not download the photo of the item I wish to sell. The first attempt the photo was too large, and I tried the zip photo but it did not work either, what am I not doing right. Thanks Marv
Hello, Of course, reading the rules and procedures is good. But, sometimes, there is a simple way for anyone that has access to photo files and Word Documents. Since we all type on a Word Document prior to posting it on the HAMB, there is the easiest way to post photos. Anyone can adjust the size of the photo so it is not too large and blurry. 1. Copy from your files and post on the Word Document 2. Now, once posted on the Word Document, select and adjust the photo to fit the size you want. Larger is not always the best, as any photo enlarged gets more grain and then the blur comes into place. 3.Once that adjustment is done, copy and post on a REPLY screen on the HAMB. You can see if the posted photo is too large, blurry or out of place in your story post. 4. If it is too large, delete and re-adjust the photo on your Word Document. Jnaki I once used the HAMB "UPLOAD A FILE" tab and when it gave options of a Thumbnail, it was too small. When I selected the FULL SIZE, it was too large. So, to me, after feeling like “Goldilocks…” It was easier to adjust the drawing or photo on the Word Document first, then post on the REPLY screen to see how it will fit. AHHH… Just right! Once you post the whole story including the photos, there are other options. If you want to add another photo, you have to select "MORE OPTIONS." You just can't add a new photo to a posted story. The MORE OPTIONS TAB allows you to add a new photo to the story in any place you desire. Again, adjusting the photo before you hit "enter." Or you may use the rules from the HAMB...YRMV
