{ VINTAGE TIN }

  1. Another purchase from the local 4-h toy show today. No markings at all that I can see to establish a maker. The valves on the engine go up and down when the friction drive is cooperating. It must be a hot rod because it says it is. 1201360B-CB65-4EF4-ABBF-8BD1532EA1C3.jpeg

  3. Lastly a tootsie toy that is more jitney than roadster, but use your imagination. A5DD2573-0C9A-406F-9C30-005CCDB14513.jpeg

    That's a really great find. The Century Hot Rods were made by Nomura (T.N.) Japan. they came in red and a medium blue. Nice to see the hubcaps are still there...the windshield and hubcaps are ALWAYS missing.

  5. My red & blue 'Hot Rod Century"s, plus the same car released as "The Bug". Of course mine is missing the windshield!!

    I kind of like models that show their age and are a bit beat up. Of course I appreciate the guys that like the mint boxed stuff too. fullsizeoutput_2f.jpeg

    Picked this up just the other day, talk about driven hard and put away wet, a true survivor. fullsizeoutput_59.jpeg fullsizeoutput_5b.jpeg fullsizeoutput_5a.jpeg

  26. I used to have one of these Horikawa robots as a kid. It would walk for a bit, stop and guns would pop out of its chest while it spun around a few times. It then would repeat.
    I didn’t appreciate it that much when I had it. It disappeared like a lot of my toys did when I grew older.
