Technical Performer vs Winters for a traditional 327

For those that absolutely have to have a chrome water neck (that seals), these are the answer, won't be cheap to have chrome plated but I doubt you will need to ever buy another one.

 

The OP hasn't been here since November. Hopefully, he bought the Winters intake, got a better carb than a vac secondary 1850 600 cfm Holley and followed Jim's advice about the points! @1Nimrod - I just looked at my original L88 intake, it's numbers were as you described in your post. I'll get a pic for ya soon.

It would be cool to own a Chevy 348 BB, or any Chevy Big Block for that matter.
A BB would make my 63 C10 move right along nicely...

I ran a winters on my 300hp Impala because AHRA said you could run any factory intake in stock class at the time I did paint it orange.

 

My favorite intake next to the crossram.....

Dustin..your intake with casting number 3972116 is a service replacement or over the counter piece. It was identical to the 3972110 intake which was used on factory built LT-1 cars. People try to sell the 116 intake as a 70 LT-1 piece...but it was never used by the factory. Why GM ground off the 110 and replaced it with 116? Who knows...ive seen many like that. Maybe they did that to differentiate the factory used vs over the counter pieces. Either way...use your intake without guilt...its not really a restorers piece and will work exactly like a 1970 LT-1 intake.
