Ok thanks for the info, I didn’t know that. I’ve organised my rotors to be machined down tomorrow, probably 4mm..
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the OP is not in the U.S. If am correct, that would be useful information.
^^^ good point. I noticed mention of emailing, but it was the weekend. Currently 4:30am on the west coast, 7:30am on the East coast, Monday morning.
All my stuff is from the US, can’t find much info here in OZ, whenever I ask anybody anything they don’t know. I’ve found this forum to be the best out there..
That would make sense given your lack of reaction to suggestions about alternative calipers. Okay, we all know there is a geographical issue as well. Carry on.
I was referring to time and day only, I don’t know Scarebird, or their days/hours of operation. Hence a quick reply from them on the weekend may or may not be expected.
Well, I guess it depends who you ask. Having said that, full disclosure is a good thing too. Don't have these guys wasting their time suggesting things that you can't just go and do. If you can't go to the local parts house and ask about Caddy application calipers they will understand if you make this known up front.
Ok, now that we have full disclosure I would suggest you put the rear of your car up on stands then bolt a rotor in place of a back wheel, start the car and get the rotor spinning (you are essentially turning your car into a lathe). Alrighty then, next you need to invite Crocodile Dundee over and make sure he brings his "this is a knife" and have him shave the rotor for you After it's done, make sure you "throw another Joey on the hibachi" then bust open some Outback Ales and enjoy the fruits of your labor
You know I’ve always wondered why some folks don’t put their location on here ? We are interested in helping anyone,,,,,especially Australians . A great lot of folks from down there ,,,,,smart car builders too . Tommy
