Ours was #99 and 101 in North Inglewood. My uncle Bob owned a Cocktail Lounge across the street from the Helms Bakery in Culver City in the 50’s. It was called the Talon. My parents always called it the “beer joint” as I remember.
My neighborhood was in Anaheim not far from Disneyland. I sometimes miss Southern California terribly. I've lived a lot of different places. There's no other place like it.

It's got that Vermont touch which is you could have any sign as long as it was black and white. Vermont never would allow signs with colors. So you could have a white background with black lettering or a black background with white letting. Jimbo
