Love 62s. Great to see another back on the road.

I believe the driver is Don Meece, from Evansville IN. Not sure of the year or who to give picture credit to. The location is Chandler IN.

Correct me on this, but I think I recall a feature on this car. Well into his pass the car wrecked and rolled. They rolled it back to the pits, got it fixed up enough to be safe and, yup, rolled it again. Was it this one? That is if anyone knows...

As short as that wheelbase is I bet it was a real handful especially at high end.

 

Long ago I was big in the pictorial annuals. And I think the book was called "Drag Racing Photo Greats" which frankly I don't even know how I just remembered that...

I remember it because a buddy had a bar here named Goldfinger and was trying to find photos of the bar and ran across the car.

I'm wondering if Mike Gains was the owner/ driver of that Gold Finger. I'm sure there was more than one B body with that name?
