    Great Sunday morning thread.
    Thanks, Tom!

    Came to the blue Roadster.
    Boy that's a goooood one.
    Wait a minute... I think that's Jim Jacob's car.
    Sure enough.

No wonder it caught my eye.

Awards usually start at 5:00. Takes a couple of hours to go through.

This 36 sedan delivery is a beautiful car, love the color, and how he did the original 36 grill. It's from Wa. state the owner said this is his first show.

That picture saddens many of us, as being Pat's truck that he used for nearly 40 years. DSC01083.JPG DSC01099.JPG

Upon first seeing the way this car was finished out, I might have wanted one of these bags to spit up in a little. But after a few days I would have eaten it up again from said bag with a spoon. It was a big shock but it’s grown on me and I’m pretty ok with it.

This is such good coverage, and of course as usual. The Church coupe took big balls. As big as those that put the monster hemi and zoomies in play, and so the paint as well. You "get it" or you don't, I do. Would I do it? Not on anything I have now, and frankly anything forward of that one would likely be seen as a poser. But damn, what a pose.

Uh, I don't think this patina is fake. A tasteful, well-proportioned survivor.

Man, picture #3 in Post #165 takes me back to the good old days of the Oakland Roadster Show, looking down on the main floor and viewing all of the breathtaking colors and chrome. It's what I like best about indoor car shows....

Three owner-built cars, two from big names, the third won. That's super cool to me.

Edit: Some quick research taught me that Jack Chisenhall, the owner/builder, is also the president of Vintage Air.

  26. A convertible from a coupe and outstanding, should have won something.

  27. As always, great job, Tom. Thanks for having the passion and skill to bring these images to us.

One of these days our paths will cross in PHX - Goodguys, one of Chip's get-togethers, South Mountain, Pavillions, something!
