I've heard of guys having to put them on a test engine, one at a time, dial them in, then putting them on the manifold.

Bob...from what I understand it's an Ansen steering wheel. There was one of these wheels for auction a while back...that sold!...dont know the exact number it sold for..but it was way too much for a steering wheel. It's possible Grant made them later, after Ansen stopped making wheels and offered them in plastic or foam grip. I have one too!

Bob...I don't think any of those old Covico or Ansen wheels have any marks. Cragars had a sticker..and sometimes you can see the ghost of where it was..

I had a real minty one, made by Grant as shown in the catalog on the last page, sold it 2 years ago on eBay for $750. I probably could have gotten more if I would have held out but even that felt like a lot of money for an oddball steering wheel. I know I have a picture of it somewhere but I can't find it at the moment.

Vintage Original EMPI Steering Wheels (Bug, Porsche, Karman Gia) with the center Horn ****on Trim ( steel stamped EMPI on back of spoke) sell for over $1000.00 with NOS having asking prices over $3000.00. Funny thing they produce the exact same wheel now for less then $300.00

I'm still waiting for some promoter to put on the "American Grafitti clone Nationals" where all those yellow things can sit side by side and see who has the closest to what they imagine the car actually looked like clone of it and the other cars in the show. There are probably 500 of those clones nation wide not counting the Model A's trying to be a clone.

On those steering wheels, the main thing I remember about them is the story about a buddy who had one who got his finger stuck in one of the holes and had to have help getting it out and took a lot of razzing in the process.

C'mon man! There are starving people in china! And I need a Boston Album one 8 track! A couple of years ago you probably had a closet full of toilet paper.
