I read somewhere they tilted it the 40 degrees because that was the only way they could get it to fit.

  5. I wouldn't go that far. While the ingenuity of cramming all that stuff into the T envelope is unquestioned, from where I sit it looks like even a simple repair would require dismantling a large portion of the vehicle.

Pull the motor to adjust the passenger side valves? No thank you....

Same deal for me on this car. One of my first paint jobs was on Joe Boyles '27 Roadster, when his dad had it back in '63. I laid 1/4" tape over candy gold and fogged pearl over the tape before pulling it. It was the Kontinentals pick at the last Lone Star Roundup. With the same 1963 paint!

Thank you for the link, it explains a lot. The cab is from a Ford TT Truck that used the 1925 and earlier cowl. Fantastic build, hope to got an award. Bob

Certainly saddens me, hard to believe he is no longer providing so much oustanding journalism.

Is this truck living in California now or all the way from Ridgefield, Connecticut to enjoy the warm weather? Bob

I believe that the grey car is an entry from Jerry Kugel, long time rodder and Bonneville competitor

From the angle of the shot it looks like it has a chopped sedan roof grafted as a top.

From the looks of a few pictures, panel stripping could become a new-old trend.

It’s not a coupe, it was always a Convertible, we extended the catwalk to make the top not so awkward like the 40 Convertibles are. This car is actually a few years old and sports about 10K miles. Glad you all like it, it’s a definite favorite around the shop.
