Art & Inspiration Sitting and Rotting.............picture thread

They are Peugeot, Renault, Hotchkiss, Ford pre WWII and Simca, Citroën, Ford post WWII. And something that looks like a 60's Mercedes. Looks like a hoarder stash rather than a hidding spot.

 

This one is sitting in a neighbor’s yard. It had a garage over it , but he let the garage rot away until the city made him tear it down. “ I’m going to fix it up one day “ he said.

Seems unlikely there would be any sprayed on urethane insulation in WWII or before.

 

OK @j hansen , how did you get this 1948 FX Holden in the Euro jungle pics or is it somewhere else ?

 

Ha Ha, just a random stolen pic from the InterWeb.

 

Has a Hanomag or Skoda vibe to it. Thing is the whole pile is British cars . Lower left is a single hole Ford 8 grille which is hard to find now compared to the more common Anglia grille just above it.

Haha, I was just thinking the back window and roof of the Studebaker would be a cool windshield for something. Just not sure what.

I only knew of the model with the multiple grille slots, I should have noticed the hood curve as being Taunus

It was called Buckel-Taunus in Germany because of its rounded back like a hump. not so often to see even in Germany. nice little cars though looking a bit like a miniature from the american brothers



this one is a 39, the first version of this bodystyle.

You sir, are a life saver! Or at least, a sanity-saver. Just when I thought I'd seen every production car ever made, something new pops up. I've seen a few Taunuses before (Taunii?) but I never saw that particular one before.
