Meant Betty Grable... wasn't she the reason for the phrase "Million Dollar Legs"! Well the gal in this picture and Angie had'em too!

I did a little research and found out that Leggy Linda was the wife of the original owner, Paul Plannette, of my car. Apparently, she was a native american and lived in Hawaii for a while.
Very similar to one of my all-time favorites, the Willis Baldwin/Phil Payne car, based on cut-down '32 rails, with a well set back flathead. Have thought about starting a thread on this car, apparently it wound up in England. Wonder where it is now? What an absolutely kick-*** hot rod. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Anyone got photos of the build or a link to a magazine article? Looks like an interesting car and another example of the creativity of the time.
The car is absolutely fantastic and the young, married, woman is lovely. I have absolutely no objections to either, but I am surprised at this thread's appearance given that previous threads on Trophy Girls and Linda V. were shut down. Perhaps this one will stay in bounds.
A little different set of cir***stances. First, she owned and worked on the car with her husband .Second ,the Boss started the thread...
Great looking gal, with a great looking example of the home built "popular mechanix" sports car of the time frame. Back years ago I lived in a house my family rented on Bainbridge Island wa and there was a stack of 59's Popular Mechanics and Mechanix illustrateds in a cubby hole haul closet. In the time we lived there I read those page to page a number of times. There were a number of those builds with few at that level in them plus what might be seen as Tom McChahill's best batch or road tests and the issue (s?) that had the story of him taking a new shoebox ford to Granatelli's to have it hopped up and then the road tests on it afterwards.
Oh, yes and she fired this then 13 year old's fantasies just a bit back then. Funny thing, No gal but this rather crude version showed up on FB a little bit ago. No where near the fit and finish but loosely following the original plans in the magazine.
