Blonde in the top pic is definitely out of place but the pan is perfect. It don't get no better than Ruth and the pan she's on. The posed pic just looks wrong but the scooter is right. The last pic hits me hard, that could have been me in the army surplus field jacket and my old lady 55 years ago. Don't have the bike anymore but she's still with me.
I gotta agree with all that! & I’m glad the photo struck a memory for you! ….so you got any pictures of the bike?
I saw these in the “days gone by” thread a while back and thought they belonged here as well. Thanks for the link man, very interesting, especially to a Texan!
After 1966 guys began to bolt the new "Shovel" top ends onto their beloved generator case Panheads. They were everywhere, the older ones with the smaller bearing lower ends would really rev. My guess is there ain't many on here or anywhere else that have seen one of these.... '76 lower w/ '64 outside oiler top end Andrews H cam

Just found this post recently, trying to read it from both ends. alanp561 said it best; some of the imagery here hits hard, recalling past days. The 'pre-65" parameter vanished early on so... Here's a few The black Panhead started as nothing more than a frame, rear wheel, oil tank, trans, forks & fenders. 2 1/2 years to build, Stolen from my work place 40 days after completion. The shovel came after the Pan was stolen, and has undergone many changes. It has been a part of my life longer than anyone or anything
