So this manifold for the old Cadillacs seems to be quite rare, does anyone know how long they were made and how many were made? I thought I read somewhere that it was one year only.

It took me years to find one. Haven't seen another for sale since I can't remember.

That's what I've been led to believe; though I can't prove it. I know I was very lucky to find one that was almost NOS...

I don't have any immediate plans for it.

Have been running it on the 390 in my '40 for three years with two Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs. It runs well with great throttle response; mileage is 10-16 depending upon driving conditions.

Yeah, just "slightly used"... The seller claimed it was NOS and looking at it there was no evidence of any bolts being tightened on it. It really looked NOS until I stuck a flashlight into the exhaust crossover passages; just enough carbon to indicate it had been run a little bit. Still; I was glad to find one.

I don't know... enough to move my 40 down the road. Second gear getting on the freeway is always fun :)
