After much support from many suppliers, friends and especially family , my favourite car is on the road once again. What a blast to be behind the wheel listening to the Columbia 2 speed doing it’s thing.

    Great job. Lucky man. :)
I’ve never seen homemade wired radiator hose clamps. Work well?

That’s the two speed adapter for the speedometer. So when the two speed rear end is used the speedometer will still be accurate.

First off thank you all for the positive comments. When you work pretty much alone in the shop its difficult to see the finish line and wonder what the hell....is what I am doing correct? will it look ok? so having fellow hambers' feedback is very much appreciated. I am sure all of us have sat , beer in hand, staring at the car with a finished vision. Then you hake your head and open another beer telling yourself " I will get to that tomorrow".
    Cheers!

Beautiful car - well done !!

I'm just finishing up my '36 and I have a question to ask, if you don't mind. My front spring pack is, with the exception of the main leaf being a reversed eye new leaf, is an 11-leaf total, stock spring pack. It's so solid. I get zero movement jumping up & down on the frame and I'm 230#. Could you tell me if you removed any leaves to get your desired ride and, if so, which ones? It would save me a lot of labor and at my age, I just want to get it finished & drive it before I croak !!
    Thanks,
    -Bob

My front spring is a Posies reverse eye. I also removed a couple leafs and put them at the bottom of the pack cause it’s easy. It took me a few tries to get it right. As to which leads I believe it was #2 and maybe #4. I cannot remember exactly. I could go out to the shop and check if you want.
The rear spring main leaf I had made locally and reversed the eyes. Used the stock pack and removed a few leaves there and placed them on the bottom so the u bolts would fit. I was on a budget so got creative. Let me know if you need me to check anything for you.
