Sign says it's for sale, $4000. Who do I make the check out to??!! Great stuff. The blue '40 Ford coupe (?) behind it is cool. And is that the Nicholas Lepesh 40 Ford pickup in the background? Love these old car show photos. Thanks for posting.
Great custom headlight treatment with the Olds piece, but out of place on a "canted", "quad" thread, No?
I'm goin to climb out on to that proverbial limb, and say the Rod & Custom Dream Truck was the first custom, and maybe the first American vehicle to have "Quad" headlights. This photo was taken in 1956.
the olds lights have marker lights under the headlights, so technically they could fit in the quad light description. you say tomato, I say oh well
that is an earlier version of the miss elegance 55 that I have. it was changed to the blue version in 1961. here is a thread I did on its evolution https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...history-lesson-with-vintage-pictures.1190064/
now I understand more and more when people speak of the old days on the hamb. now it seems like a good source for information, not so much for a participation trophy.
man, in the old days you would have been torn to shreds and called every dirty name in the book? this place is a thousand times tamer now. and while your pickup surely has cool headlights the title of this thread clearly reads "canted and quadheadlight kustoms" I am sure there are plenty of threads here where your pickup will fit....
I found this one about 20 years ago in Nor Cal. It seems to have disappeared since. Hopefully someone is restoring it View attachment 5661461
found as in you owned it? man, what a beautiful car... I love that thing.. If you did own it why did ya sell it??
I was a finder for a flipper. Got him to buy the car . It was in Marysville, painted gold, no grille, otherwise real nice. I tried to get them to restore it for Barret Jackson, but no go. So It was on my trailer, but not mine. It had very good documentation., there is no chance the new owner does not know what the car is. Last seen in Stockton CA at(I believe) RAndM auctions warehouse downtown.
found these pictures online of the Jack Snyder 56 chev, I don't know when they were taken but it looks pretty sad... Is this before or after you had it on your trailer?
