I have a chopped 1950 fleetline and I’m needing to get a windshield but I’m going with a one piece. So far it seems 1950 Oldsmobile 88 sedan? I just want to make sure that is correct.
That’s a bit of money to spend to be wrong.

    Thanks

That will depend a lot on how much it was chopped. I think the Olds window will fit an unchopped car as a swap, but someone will need to confirm that.

roughly 3"..i know I will have to cut it so not worried about a direct fit. Just want to make sure I will get on that will fit the curves.

Have a 51 Fleetline. We bought a stock olds windshield. Our chop was 2 3/4 inches at the front. We lowered the windshield gutter at the bottom to match the windshield . That is the point we quit working on it and shoved it in a corner

  5. Figuring out the glass is THE FIRST thing you should do in a chop! Way to many folks chop a car then realize there is no way to make glass fit

  6. Quite sure the Olds 88 windshield is the one folks use. I remember hearing that even in a stocker it requires some work in the corners (upper?) - which of course shouldn't impact you, as you will be cutting it down. Cool project by-the-way!

Lol….I do understand the “shoving in the corner” I’ve done that for a few years with mine. I just work it every so often. I hope to actually drive it this year .
Do you know what year and model of olds it was?

50 Olds coupe. The place we bought it from was in Philadelphia I think. they specialized in 50 / 60’s windshields
