Hey do you have a link to the auction for the cars at El Mirage? I believe I know where these cars are at but not 100% sure

Agree, beautiful in its own way, captures a frozen moment in time. Like the guys just clocked out and didn't come back the next day.

Ron, is this still out there? Man would I love to have a humpback panel. They're either too far away, too rusty or they want a fortune for a stripped down shell.

Hope that one found a home

  9. Yeah, I drug that one home, and then sold it. Had too many projects.

I'm always amazed to see classic French cars in the US. It always makes me wonder why an American person would buy a Peugeot, Renault or Simca, because unlike Citroën or pre war Luxury models those brands had nothing special and lame performances, gas milage maybe?

I think a lot of Peugeots had Diesel engines so fuel economy would be a factor.

A few older guys ran diesel because it was the same as heating oil back then.
My dads buddy always had MB diesels and use to use the fuel out of the apartment houses he owed for 2 reasons, the oil for heating was a write off and he did everything he could think of to avoid taxes........any taxes it was the reason he got into apartment building and strip malls in the first place for the write offs.......................
