Does it really need kingpins, or just the bushings? The king pins shouldn't wear if the bushings are lubed and not allowed to completely wear out. The bushing will invariably be a standard engineering component, so you'd just need to measure up. Hone/ ream to final size when installed.

Removal of the bushings isn't necessarily a destructive process so they could potentially be refitted after measurement pending replacement.

Was it built in the UK? If so home manufactured tube axles used Transit and Anglia spindles. Both used grub screws.

It is mounted out front of Chassis by a welded on bracket that them bolts to the transverse leaf spring .

I thought suicide front end had the tie rod in front? Didn’t know it was location of the axle.

Tie rod in front is not a suicide setup, just a builder that doesn't understand physics or geometry.

Axle not under the frame, which would catch it if the spring broke is a suicide setup.

Spindle looks Chevy. 49-54 car is a quite popular spindle used for axles when a "Chevy" spindle is used.

That was my understanding of a suicide , not under the chassis , Thanks for your reply

  18. My first thought as well. Could be an old Speedway, CAE or PSE? Forget the acronym of the last one
